There’s a voice that has gone out into the world today and I think we have all been guilty of listening to it. This voice says you are no one special, that you’re not that smart. Just work your little ordinary job, live in your ordinary neighborhood, and live your ordinary life because that is all you deserve.
You are NOT ordinary. Look at the definition of this word:
*of no special quality or interest;
NO WAY does this describe you. You matter, you are loved, you are valuable. God Himself, in the person of Jesus Christ, went to the cross for you. Not only did He suffer a horrible physical death, He took your punishment in Hell. God obviously thought you were valuable even before you knew Him. That’s because He made you and knows what He put inside you. He knew that when you accepted Him as your Lord and Savior, He had your permission to take up residence inside you. All those abilities He gave you hooked up with His life and character have the potential to change the world.
Because of these truths, God is calling for you to step up to the plate. It’s your turn at the bat. He wants to help you hit a home run. It’s time to stop walking around with your head hanging down. It’s time to receive the truth about who you really are:
The head and not the tail – Deuteronomy 28:13
Above only and not beneath – Deuteronomy 28:13
Complete in Him (nothing missing, nothing broken) – Colossians 2:10

I want to challenge you to meditate on these verses. Get them deep down in your spirit. And, the next time that voice tells you that you are no one special, remind yourself of what the Word of God says about you. Remind yourself that you matter, you are loved, you are valuable.
