wisdom is calling to you part 4
The Bible tells us that Wisdom is primary. It is the one thing we should seek after first. That’s because God’s wisdom unlocks the individual, personal and specific direction we each need.In Proverbs 8 Wisdom is personified as a woman. God is giving us a visual picture here to help us understand how wisdom should be treated. It’s as if He is saying wisdom should be pursued in the same way a man would pursue a woman in which He is in love. When a man is in love with a woman, he respects and honors her. This is the attitude we should have towards God’s wisdom.Wisdom can be described as:Prudence:
Good judgment in regards to practical affairsKnowledge:
Acquaintance with facts, truths, or principles, from study, investigation or experience;Discretion:
The ability to decide exactly what should be done in a particular situation. We learned earlier that wisdom is not hidden from us. She is in plain view and can be found in common places. We also learned that wisdom comes easily to those who love her. I believe God is saying to us that He longs to give us the answers we need. He is not holding anything back from us. However, we must respond to wisdom’s call. She must be pursued diligently.

Where do we find wisdom? The Bible is full of God’s wisdom. In my articles, I often bring out the importance of staying engaged with the Word of God. Meditation and study feeds our spirit man and renews our mind so that we are living this life according to God’s design for us. The pursuit of wisdom brings instruction, wholesome knowledge, insight, might and power. Let’s explore more of wisdom’s fruit.

19 Riches and honor are with me, enduring wealth and righteousness (uprightness in every area and relation, and right standing with God). My fruit is better than gold, yea, than fine gold; and my revenue than choice silver.

20 I lead in the way of righteousness, in the midst of the paths of judgment:

21 That I may cause those that love me to inherit substance; and I will fill their treasures.

Wisdom’s fruit is better than money and material things. Too many put all their energies into the pursuit of money and their lives are a mess. They neglect their families, friends and their relationship with God. They end up with a millions and dollars and a truckload of unhappiness, loneliness and regret. Money will never take the place of wonderful and godly relationships. It will never take the place of health and well being. It will never take the place of safety and protection and it will certainly never replace the secret place of the Almighty – a place where you and I can run to when we are afraid or facing a challenge.

Verse 20 reminds me of Matthew 6:33 that tells us to seek FIRST the Kingdom of God and His righteousness. When we do that provision will be added to us.

Notice that wisdom’s fruit is better than monetary gain yet when we go after her riches and honor come to us. We will receive ENDURING wealth. Wisdom will cause us to inherit substance, she will fill our treasuries. You see, wisdom will show us how to prosper the right way. We don’t have to step all over people to get ahead. We don’t have to lie, steal or cheat. We can lay a strong foundation by walking in the way wisdom leads: righteousness and holiness. When our ways please God, our delight is in Him and He will give us all the desire of our hearts (Psalm 37:4).

Proverbs 8
19 Riches and honor are with me, enduring wealth and righteousness (uprightness in every area and relation, and right standing with God). My fruit is better than gold, yea, than fine gold; and my revenue than choice silver.わたしの実は金よりも精金よりも良く、わたしの産物は精銀にまさる。
20 I lead in the way of righteousness, in the midst of the paths of judgment:
わたしは正義の道、公正な道筋の中を歩み、
21That I may cause those that love me to inherit substance; and I will fill their treasures.
わたしを愛する者に宝を得させ、またその倉を満ちさせる。

Mathew6:33 But seek ye first the kingdom of God, and his righteousness; and all these things shall be added unto you.まず神の国と神の義とを求めなさい。そうすれば、これらのものは、すべて添えて与えられるであろう。

Psalm 37:4 Delight thyself also in the LORD: and he shall give thee the desires of thine heart.
