the lord is good! finding the path to supernatural provisionThe Lord is good! All throughout the Bible we see testimonies of God’s miracle-working power such as the opening of the Red Sea, blind eyes opened, the dead raised. The Bible describes all kinds of supernatural intervention from the Lord and it stems from His goodness. Have you seen God’s goodness in your life? If so, you ought to declare every day that the Lord is good!

But if you haven’t yet gotten hold of this truth, I want you to keep reading. I believe this article will jumpstart your faith in the goodness of God. You’ll get on the path to seeing a supernatural provision in your life.

Psalm 145:9 says the Lord is good to ALL. But if that is true, you might wonder why there’s so much sickness, pain and heartache in this world. Well, those things are not from God. They’re not good. They’re bad, and they come from the enemy. John 10:10 says the thief (the devil) comes to steal, kill and destroy. But Jesus came to give you abundant life. Abundant life is full of the goodness of the Lord. It’s healing, salvation, and provision. It’s wisdom and understanding and more. If you are experiencing challenges, realize that the enemy is the problem, not God! The Lord is GOOD.

Some Christians believe God sends problems to teach them. The Bible does not teach that, and I want you to get that thought out of your mind now. Would you put cancer on your child to teach them a lesson? If a parent could do that, we’d call that child abuse! God is certainly not a child abuser. No! The Lord is good to ALL and that includes YOU.

Maybe you are asking, “How do I overcome the challenges wreaking havoc in my life? How do I get healed? How do I access what I need for myself and my children?” You must pay attention to the Word (Proverbs 4:20-23). You must keep it before your eyes and in your ears. That means turning off the TV so you can speak out the promises of God over your life. Get hold of Bible teaching CD’s that will boost your faith and listen to them over and over. Those actions are going to push false ideas from you. For instance, maybe you doubt you can be healed because your grandmother died from a disease. But maybe grandma didn’t know how to believe God for her healing. Maybe she simply wasn’t familiar with I Peter 2:24 and Isaiah 53:4-5.

People can say they believe in healing but don’t have the faith to be healed. People can tell you they are trusting God to make a way for them but in truth the Word of God is not stored in their spirit man. The Word of God produces faith, and it takes faith to receive God’s promises. That’s why you must zero in on what God’s Word says about your life. Don’t look at what happened to grandma or anyone else. Receive God’s Word for yourself.

It’s easy to let go in the midnight hour when your body is in pain, the lights are about to get cut off or your car is about to be repossessed. But during those times, lift your voice in faith and declare boldly “the Lord is good!” Speak this truth several times. It will keep you in touch with God and His goodness. As you speak this truth,  will rescue you. How do I know that? Nahum 1:7 says, The Lord is good, a strong hold in the day of trouble; and he knoweth them that trust in him. The Lord is your protection in the day of trouble! Hallelujah!

I especially like the last part of Nahum 1:7 because it reveals how personal God is with you. He sees you. He KNOWS you, individually. He calls you by your name. He sees your faith and acknowledges it.

Lamentations 3:25 says, The Lord is good unto them that wait for him, to the soul that seeketh him. Waiting on God and seeking Him is a way of life. It’s not something you can do today and skip the next three days. You need to connect with Him continuously. Open your heart daily to get His wisdom. Then FOLLOW that wisdom.

The Lord is good! That’s how this message began, and that’s how I’m going to end. Hook up to the goodness of God by daily spending time in His Word and prayer. Declare His goodness over your life even if you don’t see it. When you do, God is going to open your eyes to what He’s doing in your life now. Because, to tell the truth, God is always moving. He is always doing something good and wonderful.
