My name is KARIN PEAVY, and my daily mission is to empower Christian women to find and live their purpose. My desire is to see my sisters in Christ living boldly and confidently, being everything God designed them to be.

My desire stems from an experience I had as a young woman. I spent 16 years in a Christian cult because I lacked self-confidence. I didn’t believe I was strong or smart enough to make important decisions. It was easy to hand my life to someone else. The love drew me in, and a soul tie developed. I identified strongly with this group. For a long time, I couldn’t see myself anywhere else. I want to help others avoid that kind of entrapment.

By the grace of God, I escaped, but the journey toward freedom was not easy. I discovered that my faith was shattered as I struggled to deal with the lies I’d been told. I had a hard time trusting God to the point of questioning if the Bible was true. One day, the Lord said either I was going to believe His Word or I wasn’t. That hit me hard. What would I believe if I didn’t believe the Bible? I had already invested an enormous part of my life in learning and benefiting from its truths in spite of the false interpretation of certain verses. I decided to trust, and God helped me separate the truth from the lies. I had learned about a mean Jesus. That isn’t His nature at all! God helped me understand who He truly is.

I have always wanted God to do something significant with my life. I discovered I could write and wanted to share the Word of God with others. So, I put the two together. My blog contains more than 200 motivational Bible-teaching articles on prayer, spiritual warfare, faith, peace and more.

I am the author of Beside Restful Waters, a devotional that contains 30 life-changing Bible truths. I also created the Dream Seekers Facebook group that seeks to build self-esteem in its members and help them see that their goals and dreams can become a reality.

I desired death. I don’t have a conscience for God/Heaven. I don’t know if I’m going in the Rapture or during the Great Tribulation. I need help.
