Did you know that the extraordinary lives inside you? You should because God Himself dwells inside you. He has given you abilities and strengths for the purpose of Kingdom building.

What is the key to tapping into the extraordinary? Earlier today, I wrote the following message to my Facebook and Twitter friends:

God wants you to come to Him today with open eyes, open heart, open ears so that He can ignite all of Himself in you today.

When you have open eyes, heart and ears, God can move and speak through you without limitation. He will use you to manifest miracles in the lives of others.

You might wonder how God can use YOU in this way. Maybe you believe that there is no way you can heal the sick, raise the dead, or cause blind eyes to be open. Well, YOU can’t! But JESUS can. He is the Healer and Deliverer. He only wants you to be a yielded and available conduit. When you connect with the extraordinary by having open eyes, an open heart and open ears all of this is possible.

When I think of healing, raising the dead, blind eyes being open, I don’t just think of the physical. All of this needs to take place on an emotional and mental level too. I think about Christians and non-Christians who need to be delivered from rejection, who need their motivation and zest for life raised from the dead. I think about all those whose spiritual eyes need to be opened. Unbelievers need their eyes opened to the revelation of Jesus Christ. Believers need to know who they are and what they have in Christ.

I already mentioned that releasing the extraordinary in you comes through open eyes, heart and ears. This condition of openness comes from the decision to believe God can use you in unique and powerful ways.

When you have open eyes, you see the needs around you and sensitive to them. You will not be indifferent. You will not stick your head in the sand and pretend problems don’t exist.

When your heart is open, you are ready to receive the ministry God has for you. And, make no mistake about it. If you are part of the Body of Christ, you have a ministry whether you are called to one of the five-fold offices (Ephesians 4:11) or not. You have the ministry of reconciliation which is bringing others to the Lord (2 Corinthians 5:18).

Open ears means hearing the Word of God and putting it into practice. You are past the point of arguing and making excuses. You see what the Word says in black and white and you receive it for yourself. You strive to align every part of your life with what the Bible says.

Developing open eyes, open hearts, and open ears is a process. But let’s get started today. Let’s become exactly what God wants us to be. Let’s release the extraordinary that lives inside us.
