Arise and Shine! Your Light Has Come!

Arise [from the depression and prostration in which circumstances have kept you—rise to a new life]! Shine (be radiant with the glory of the Lord), for your light has come, and the glory of the Lord has risen upon you!

–Isaiah 60:1, Amplified Bible Classic Edition

Did you know that you can stand on two feet and be bent over inside? That’s how it was with me several years ago after coming out of a spiritually abusive church. On the outside, I seemed alright. Inside I was a mess!

It was the Lord that directed me to Isaiah 60:1-2 all those years ago. Today, I continue to meditate on these scriptures. They are among my favorites!

Let’s look at what ARISE means:

Place or Dwelling

You must take your place in the spirit realm. You are a child of God, more than a conqueror. Stand your ground by using your spiritual authority.

Come on the Scene

God needs you in these last days to help lead others out of bondage. God needs you to pray and reach out to others with the abilities He has given you. It’s time for you to arise! God is leading you to come on the scene.

Leader, Prophet, King

These titles again speak of spiritual authority and taking your rightful place in God’s Kingdom. Every member of the Body of Christ has a unique place to stand. You are a leader, prophet and king over the areas God has designated for us. That involves your job, community, and church. God is behind you, directing and backing up your actions as you carry out the steps He leads you to take.

Arise! Take your rightful place as a overcomer in this world. Come on the scene to help others. Be a leader, prophet and king as God leads. The Lord will speak to you as you are watchful in prayer. He will show you how to pray and what actions to take, if any.
