Arise and Shine! The Glory of God is on You! You are NOT Helpless!
Friends, it’s time for you to ARISE and SHINE.

In the Hebrew, the Word shine means to shoot off beams. Imagine the flash of lightning or the rays from the sun.

Shine also means to show yourself. Too many Christians hide from the world in a sense by seeing themselves are ordinary, nothing special. Do you actually think this describes a work of God’s hands? NOTHING He creates is ordinary. Everything He made is unique, special, powerful. That includes YOU.

Isaiah 60:1 commands you to shine. How do you shine? By rising from prostration. Let’s talk about that word a little more by looking at Isaiah 60:1 from the Amplified Bible:

“Arise [from the depression and prostration in which circumstances have kept you—rise to a new life]! Shine (be radiant with the glory of the Lord), for your light has come, and the glory of the Lord has risen upon you!”

One of the definitions of prostration is be overthrown by or overcome with helplessness. Have you ever felt helpless, pinned to the ground, unable to raise your head?God wants you to know you are NOT helpless. You are not overthrown or overcome by anything unless you allow it. Spiritual authority is yours. In Luke 10:19, Jesus said:

Behold, I give unto you power to tread on serpents and scorpions, and over all the power of the enemy: and nothing shall by any means hurt you.

That means you have the power to rule and reign over everything that is not of God. You need to arise and shine by standing up and taking your rightful place as a child of God. Tell those mountains to get out of your way in the name of Jesus.

Shine means to shoot off beams. Imagine the flash of lightning or the rays from the sun.

Speak out Isaiah 60:1. Say, “I arise. I shine. I overcome depression. My light has come and the glory of God has risen upon me.”

Arise means to:

–Wake up
–Stand up
–Perform

Are you watching too much TV and not spending enough time in the Word? Are you not practicing God’s presence every day? These are two ways you can wake up, stand up and do. Get before the Lord and pray about this area. I bet God will show you a few other ways you can arise and shine.

Beloved, if you are feeling depressed and helpless today, you don’t have to stay there. You can arise and shine. Wake up, stand up and be the warrior God called you to be. Rise from helplessness by taking your authority and shoot off beams. Determine to put the past behind you and come to the front. You can do all this because the glory of God –His beauty and excellence is on you!

Love,

Karin
