abundant: this is how god wants you to liveThe word abundant appears in the Bible 44 times. I chose to write about this word because it is just one of many that describe God’s purpose for your life. He wants every part of your life to be abundant.

In the Hebrew language, abundant means:

  • Multitude
  • Greatness
  • Plenty
  • Many
  • Long
  • Excellent
  • Fill
  • Satisfied
  • Soaked
  • Bring forth
  • Increase
  • Exceedingly
  • Beyond
  • More than

Using some of the definitions noted above, here are several statements that offer insight into what the abundant life looks like.

A multitude of physical, mental, and emotional wholeness.

God wants you filled and satisfied

God wants you soaked in His goodness.

God wants you to increase in holiness.

Excellence in all your endeavors.

Plenty of strength, wisdom, and understanding.

God wants to bring you forth in the financial arena and in financial management so that He can bless you with more.

God wants to take you exceedingly beyond where you are today.

Related Bible Verses

And the children of Israel were fruitful, and increased abundantly, and multiplied, and waxed exceeding mighty; and the land was filled with them.

In his days shall the righteous flourish; and abundance of peace so long as the moon endureth.  He shall have dominion also from sea to sea, and from the river unto the ends of the earth – Psalm 72:7-8.

The thief cometh not, but for to steal, and to kill, and to destroy: I am come that they might have life, and that they might have [it] more abundantly–John 10:10.

As usual, I encourage you to meditate on these verses. Make the statements above faith declarations and speak them out often. I am praying that the word “abundant” become a reality in your life in every area of your life.
